Last year I was a bit ill so I took some time off work to heal myself naturally. I wanted to heal my endometriosis and guess what... I did it! I'm very happy to say that I am now giving conferences to help other people learn how to balance their hormones, have better periods, free of pain, and also to learn how they can heal endometriosis naturally. I will tell you more about that in another post. During my healing process, I found myself with lots of free time so I decided to do something artistic...homemade cosmetics. Yeah! :) Out of all of the recipes that I tested, this is one of my favorites. And what's better -- it can last for up to a year. I was so happy with the results that I made some for my friends and family. And this year, I'll do it again. Here's the recipe for my my organic chocolate lip balm so you can enjoy it too!
What do you need?
A glass pot (to go in the bain mari)
1 tbsp. shea butter
1 tsp. bees wax
1 tsp. raw cacao
2 tsp. almond oil
1-2 drops vitamin E
How do you make it?
It's quite simple.
1. Mix all the ingredients together in the glass container, except the vitamin e.
2. Submerge the glass into the bain mari (or hot water bath) & remove it when all ingredients are melted.
3. Wait a little bit to cool down your container, then add the vitamin E. The vitamin E helps to make the lip balm last longer. Add the vitamin E liquid to the lip balm container when it is still a little bit hot so that it will solidify.
That's it. Good luck!
